According to Nivea, this powerful formula is "designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a smoother, younger-looking complexion."
I was quite intrigued by this serum as it's nothing like anything I've tried before. Upon first glance, the serum basically appears to be a bunch of tiny yellow balls. Nivea calls these "pearls" and they are packed with highly concentrated coenzyme Q10 (helps prevent against oxidative damage), Hyaluronic Acid (absorbs up to a thousand times its own weight in water and acts as a filler, plumper and smoother) and Creatine (boosts protection, performance and activity of skin cells).
The pearls are suspended in a moisturizing clear hydro gel and when you press the pump down, the Q10 pearls burst and dissolve into the hydro gel.
It's an unusual formula that at first looks somewhat clumpy when dispensed, but it actually absorbs quite well.
Being in my late 30s, I tend not to have a huge amount of wrinkles but this serum definitely gives me a smoother complexion. I feel like it absorbs well into the skin and leaves a brighter finish than most serums. It's also light enough that you can apply your moisturizer quickly afterwards and it works nicely as a make-up base.
While the scent is a bit too perfume-y for me, I do like the way the serum feels on my skin (not greasy) and how easily my makeup goes on over top of it. I plan to continue using this product and will purchase again.
At an average price point of $19.99 for 40 ml, I feel like this serum is a good value that'll last me a long time.
I received this product for free from Nivea in exchange for my honest review.
