Family travel is huge. According to SmartMoney, family vacationers made up 35% of U.S. hotel business in 2013. In its annual family travel study, TripAdvisor recently reported that 92% of travellers with children plan to take at least one family trip this year with 33% planning to take international family vacations.

Moms are in the driver’s seat. Of the 108 million adult women in the U.S., 82 million are moms (and 32 million have children living at home). Moms control 80% of purchasing decisions, relying increasingly on other moms and social media to gather information and narrow their choices.
