When my husband and I travelled to Vegas last Spring, we stayed at two different hotels, enjoyed a Cirque show, watched the Jabbawockeez perform and ate at four restaurants, including Guy Fieris, Hash House, Paris Steak House and Aria's lunch buffet. All for free. In fact, when we left, we actually still had $150 still remaining in gift cards.
Earning free comps in Vegas is actually easy for anyone to do. And if you are planning a trip to Vegas, you'll definitely want to read this post. Read on to find out how to earn free hotel stays, restaurant meals, spa visits, shows and more at both Caesars and MGM properties.
Earning FREE comps at Caesars Entertainment properties
*includes Caesars Palace, Paris, Planet Hollywood, the LINQ and more!
This one is pretty simple to do and only takes a couple minutes. You can easily earn $100-$200 in gift cards each year. All you have to do is share on social media. By sharing 3 posts a day (you literally click a share button), you can earn gift cards that can be used at any Caesars Entertainment property in Las Vegas or other places in the world. This includes Caesars Palace, Paris, Planet Hollywood, the LINQ and all the other Caesars properties you know and love. Credits can be used for dining such as buffet, hotel rooms, the spa and more. You basically treat it as cash!
Here's how:
Here's how:
Step 1: Sign up for Total Rewards at bit.ly/1vG5DkC. This is important because you need to be a Total Rewards member to redeem for Vegas gift cards. As a member, you'll also become eligible for other special offers and perks. (If you’re already a Total Rewards member, proceed to step 2).
Step 2: Sign up for Social Rewards at http://goo.gl/X45oCh. This is the program that earns you free meals, rooms, spa access, and game play. But you'll need a Total Rewards member to get this issued so make sure you have both.
Step 3: Log into Social Rewards and set up your account. If you have a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Google+ account, connect them! You don’t need them all, but the more you connect, the more points you’ll get. Points = Gift cards.
Step 4: Earn points! You are allowed 3 shares per day (includes Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) but you can earn unlimited points via Google Likes and YouTube views (usually 5 to 10 points each). Note: You can only earn points once per video; however, Social Rewards adds new videos a couple times a week so check back often.
Step 5: Every time you reach 1000 points (this takes 1-3 weeks), click Redeem and transfer your points to Total Rewards points (this is where step 1 comes into play).

What can you do with Total Rewards points? Total Rewards points work like cash at any Caesars property (which means you can use them to pay for all of part of your hotel stay, your restaurant bill at any restaurant on their property (including Guy Fieris, Hash House, Paris Steak House, etc.), the spa, or even free play at the casinos! 1000 points = $10, 2000 points = $20, etc. You’ll be surprised at how quickly points add up. You can easily earn $100-$200 in gift cards each year. And if you're travelling with a friend or spouse, you can combine your gift cards and take turns paying for hotels or meals.
Visit Total Rewards at https://www.totalrewards.com/content/cet-tr/en/earn-and-redeem/on-location.html for a full list of places where you can redeem yoru gift card!
Extra Tips:
- Play the videos on a separate tab while doing something else or it’ll become tedious.
- Although you are only allowed 1 account per person, if you have a spouse/family member, you can do it for them, even at the same time. Just open up another browser and earn the comps twice as fast!
- Total Rewards Credits expire after 6 months of non-use. However, as long as you are transferring points, you are considered active. So just be sure to transfer points at least once every 6 months. You only need 1000 points to transfer and if you do three shares a day, you can easily earn that in less that a month.
- Worried about spamming your friends? Set your post privacy to default to yourself only. I do this so I am not flooding my friend's newsfeeds with Vegas posts. I also go back and delete Vegas posts after they have been up for the required 24 hours.
*includes the Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay. Mirage, New York New York, Monte Carlo, Luxor, Circus Circus, Exalibut, Aria and more!
If you haven't heard yet, there is a FREE game on Facebook called MyVegas that lets you earn real life rewards for free. Basically, it's a slots game and while they do try to convince you to buy virtual chips, you can totally play every day without paying a dime.
What you want to do is earn gold coins. The red chips themselves are not worth anything in the real world (they are only helpful in that you need them to spin), but every 8 spins or so, you earn gold loyalty coins.
Those are the good ones! Because gold coins can be traded for real life rewards; including free hotel stays, meals, and shows at the Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay. Mirage, New York New York, Monte Carlo, Luxor, Circus Circus, Exalibut and Aria!
It's a pretty sweet deal and easy to do, too. The best part is, because you’re using comps, you save on the tax as well.

Extra Tips:
- The game is a little tedious at first for beginners, but once you pass the first few levels (takes a day or two), then you can set your game to autospin for 10, 50, or 200 times. That means it can play by itself, earning you comps, while you walk the dog or do whatever you do during your free time.
- Every day, the game lets you share chips with friends. This costs you nothing (no chips are deducted from your pile). Basically, you are just telling the game to give chips to your friends. For every chip you give to your friend, you get equal chips back if they accept. PLUS, every 24 hours, you also get a bonus 2 gold coins with those gifted chips. With 50 friends, that is 100 gold coins for free. The more friends you have, the most coins you get.
- NEVER buy chips. That would defeat the purpose, right? Instead join this facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/myvegasguides/ and search for the pinned post at the top of the page, then click the link for 250 plus chips. This is where people share links to free chips. Look for a post from James Rite that says "there are no new chips past this point". This guy takes the time to compile all of the active links each day. You can ignore all of the other posts and just hit the control button and click every one of his links. You can get a few thousand free chips that way every day.
- Don't want to spam your friends? Set your post privacy default to yourself or Vegas friends only.
Have fun in Vegas!
